Our Journey

For over five decades, Randy Stromsoe has been crafting one-of-a-kind pieces in sterling silver, pewter, copper, gold, and wood. Trained under renowned silversmith Porter Blanchard, Randy began his career working on prestigious commissions, including custom gold trophies and ceremonial pieces. His craftsmanship has since earned a place in the White House Collection of American Crafts, the Smithsonian Institution, and private collections around the world.

From recreating historical tankards for U.S. presidents to producing 649 custom pieces for Pope John Paul II’s Papal Visit in Los Angeles, his career reflects a deep commitment to both tradition and innovation.

Stromsoe Studios

Randy continues to create new work every day in our Central Coast studio — designing and fabricating custom commissions, hollowware, and jewelry that reflect a lifetime of skill, precision, and artistry.

In addition to creating fine metalwork, Stromsoe Studios is also a place of learning and community. We offer small-group, in-person metalsmithing classes in our working studio, sharing the skills and traditions of fine metal craft with students of all levels.
