About this class:
Learn the art of chasing and embossing in this hands-on, two-day workshop. You'll start by drawing a design on a pre-formed pewter vessel, then use chasing tools and a hammer to bring your pattern to life. Techniques include texturing, dapping, and an introduction to repoussé. Modern pewter is an ideal material for learning these traditional skills. No experience needed, just a steady hand and a creative eye. You'll complete a functional drinking vessel to take home.

About this workshop:
Explore foundational jewelry techniques through the creation of basic band rings. Filing, carving, texturing, and stamping will be covered.
Students will complete one or two rings depending on complexity and personal pace. Optional pierced designs for pendants may also be explored.

Learn the basics of anticlastic forming — a technique that creates elegant, fluid curves by moving metal in two opposing directions.
Students will complete a sculptural bangle (as well as other projects), gaining foundational skills in controlled forming.
