About this workshop:
In this introductory forging class, you’ll shape copper and pewter into unique serving pieces—like spreaders, olive or pickle forks, and small charcuterie tools—using traditional hammer and anvil techniques.
We’ll cover different forging methods, with a focus on shaping, texturing, and proper annealing to control stress in the metal. No prior forging experience is needed. Students are welcome to bring or purchase sterling forging stock.
